August 16 (3-5pm) Taking the Leap: Small Scale Winemaking Come experience the art and science of winemaking from the perspective of the amatuer to that of the commercial winemaker. Learn tips for successful small-scale winemaking, as well as, what is required to make the transition to becoming a bonded winery: equipment, legalities, chemistry, grapes and cooperage. Home winemakers are invited to bring their wines and stories. This event is Free. |

Lost Canyon Welcomes:
Carla Henson-Perez has joined the team in June 2007 working in the Tasting Room on weekends. Carla has a day job at BART where she uses her MBA financial skills. One day she wishes to open a wine bar.

Lost Canyon Winery is pleased to announce the hire of Kristie Tacey as Operations Manager. Kristie is to start work just in time to help with the 2006 crush. She is a graduate of University of Michigan with a degree in Biology. She has been employed as a Scientist with Celera Diagnostics and previously worked as a researcher on the human genome project. Kristie’s other passion is wine. She has been working on her Certificate of Winemaking from the University of California, Davis. |
